Jeep Roll Bars

One of the main safety features on jeeps are the jeep roll bars. These are made from hollow steel tubing that is designed to take all the weight of the vehicle without bending or breaking. They are very tough but not indestructible. Older models that have been rusted need their roll bars replaced to be safe but there are many companies that made aftermarket roll bars.

Jeep roll bars are bent into their shape as opposed to welded at each corner. This gives them much better strength and looks than a welded roll cage. The strength of bent metal has led some companies to manufacture entire frames with bent steel for consistent strength throughout the entire vehicle.

There are many aftermarket jeep roll bars that can be added for increased protection. Full cage roll bars cover a lot more area than typical roll bars so they can withstand harder hits and protect the vehicle and occupants much better. Stock jeep roll bars don’t protect the rear passengers very well which is another reason they are upgraded.
