Custom Jeeps

One of the most popular things to do to jeep is to customize it. There are more custom jeeps on the road than there are stock ones. This isn’t saying that a stock jeep isn’t capable, they are great four by fours, they are just really easy to upgrade and customize for certain terrain situations.

Custom jeeps are modified to handle certain conditions. A rock crawling jeep won’t be very good for ling distance trips but it sure will be able to get over boulders and terrain that almost no other vehicle could even begin to attempt. Some are kept small and nimble and are great for extended safaris while others add huge tires and lift kits and drive them at high speeds through mud holes and streams.

One of the first upgrades on custom jeeps is usually the wheel set and suspension. The engine is often the next part upgraded as many new jeep owners don’t realize how changing the wheels and suspension changes the performance of the vehicle. Supercharges are often added for better quick power.
